- Fibroids, polyps or septum in the uterus
- Blocked fallopian tubes
- Endometriosis and ovarian cysts
- Adhesions after infection or surgery
Endoscopic (keyhole) surgery lets our doctors look inside the uterus and pelvis through tiny cameras — and often treat the problem in the same sitting. Recovery is quick and most procedures are done as day care.
Hysteroscopy
A thin telescope is passed through the cervix to examine the uterine cavity. Polyps, small fibroids, a uterine septum or adhesions that can interfere with implantation can be removed.
Laparoscopy
Through small cuts in the abdomen, the surgeon can check the fallopian tubes, treat endometriosis, remove ovarian cysts or adhesions, and assess tubal blockage.
Your doctor will advise whether an endoscopic procedure could help before IVF or IUI, and what recovery to expect.
