I was trained under the guidance of Dr. Roy Chally at Baby Memorial Hospital, Calicut. Baby Memorial hospital is the largest multispecialty hospital in the corporate sector in Kerala. The department of Urology at BMH is a 15 year old department, well equipped with facilities like Urodynamics, portable ultrasound machines with doppler facility, ESWL, Holmium laser, special endourology suite, High definition equipment for laparoscopic surgeries and facilities for renal transplant. The department has been recognized by National Board of Examinations for intake of 2 DNB residents per year.
As a resident, I performed basic urological procedures like ureterorenoscopy, cystolithotripsy, trans urethral resection of prostate(TURP), transurethral resection of bladder tumours(TURBT), Percutaneous cystolithotripsy(PCCL), Percutaneous nephrolithotomy(PCNL), Endoscopic incision of Urethra(EIU), flexible cystoscopy, open donor nephrectomies, Orchidectomies, TRUS biopsy of prostate etc.
As a resident, i have attended infertility clinic, performed testicular biopsy, TESA, TESE, Micro TESE, Vaso-epididymal anastomosis etc.
In addition I have actively assisted in surgeries like radical prostatectomies, radical cystectomies, bladder augmentations, hypospadias repairs,epispadias repairurethroplasties, laparoscopic surgeries (Radical/simple nephrectomy, pyeloplasty, partial nephrectomy, adrenalectomy), vesico vaginal repairs (VVF), uretero vaginal repairs(UVF), colovesical fistula repair etc.
In addition, I have actively assisted and performed Donor Nephrectomy (Both Open and Laparoscopic) and Renal Transplant.
As a resident, I have been trained to perform routine KUB ultrasound, trans rectal ultrasound and Urodynamics.
Before joining my DNB program in April 2012, I had worked as a Senior Resident in department of urology in Govt. Hospital (M.B.S.) Kota from Sept. 2009 till April 2012. From june 2015 till november 2016, i ve worked as associate consutant in fortis hospital, delhi. I independently performed basic urology procedures like – open pyelolithotomy, ureterolithotomy, nephrectomy, hypospadias repair, pyeloplasty SPCL, EIU, trans urethral incision of prostate (TUIP), trans urethral resection of prostate (TURP) etc.
In addition I have actively assisted in surgeries like radical prostatectomies, radical cystectomies, bladder augmentations, urethroplasties, vesico vaginal repairs (VVF), uretero vaginal repairs(UVF) etc.
I had worked as senior resident in urology department in government medical college for 3 years and as a junior consultant in urology department at fortis hospital, Delhi for 2 years. Currently I am working as a Consultant in urology department in Jaipur Golden hospital, Delhi since december 2016.
